Short Film | The Manual

I’ve been looking forward to this coming out for a while and it was worth the wait. I will say that the trailer is pretty honest, viewer discretion advised, there’s a tense scene or two for those who are sensitive to that. Otherwise this is one of the most thought provoking shorts I’ve seen in at least a year. It eloquently mixes a lot of theories very subtly, and provides enough detail to be able to follow the larger, untold story. And the best mark of a good film: it sticks with you. Also, my interest was initially peaked by the manual device itself; would love a tablet like that.

Available to watch on Vimeo On Demand or Amazon Prime.

UPDATE: I found a few interviews with the filmmakers, very much worth your time if this interests you: Wil & Sara Magness - Building a Film Career Through Mindful Steps - mentor less & Wil Magness on Film Riot
